Global Innovation Tournament 2009 in Malaysia
In conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week 2009, Alpha Catalyst Consulting (ACC), a Malaysian based innovation consulting company shall be co-hosting Stanford's Global Innovation Tournament in Malaysia together with Warisan Global Sdn. Bhd., the country host for Global Entrepreneurship Week in Malaysia. The main sponsor for this event in Malaysia is Bank Rakyat. Other sponsors includes AirAsia X, Microsoft Malaysia, Teras Teknologi,Nomad Adventure, Kelantan Delights, ENAK and many others.
Students may partake in either the Malaysian challenge or the global challenge, or they may also register for both. The Malaysian challenge will commence from the 16th till 26th October. Winners will be notified before the 4th of November 2009.
The global challenge will be released on the 4th of November 2009 and submission of entries must be done before the 13th.

About Stanford's Global Innovation Tournament
The Global Innovation Tournament is an "Apprentice-style" competition that pits students around the world against one another with the goal of promoting innovation. The challenge begins by revealing a common, global problem as the key focal point for contestants. They will have eight days to develop innovative solutions and create as much value as possible.
Teams have eight days to execute an idea and create a 3-minute video explaining their work, which is then submitted to YouTube.
